Well tomorrow is going to be a full day of appointments, i should be at RIH from about 7 am till 4 pm.  I am not nervous about any of it, just anxious.  i dont know how well i am going to sleep tonight b/c of the anxiousness/excitement.  Its one HUGE step closer to finally obtaining a surgery date.  I just wish they would let me do my blood work tomorro as well b/c all i have left after tomorrow is the nut appointment and thats saturday....oh well, I guess Monday isnt to far away.  Blood on monday morning and phone call to office at 9 am sharp to schedule my next appointment!  Cant wait!!

Hi Linda!!   Oh man!  Thats not right!   I have UHC and I pay a $20. copay.  I don't know what plan you have, but I would definetly check it out.  Its part of the necessary plan of the surgery.  Could it be the nutritionist?  Maybe they don't take UHC? I don't know, I don't use Heather.  But I know alot of people do.  I go to Nutrition Consultants on Cowesett Ave.   Good luck!  Hope you get this straightened out!

Topic: RE: anyone have united healthcare and go to Dr Giovanni or Dr. Pohl?
Hi Jenn!  I work for the state and have UHC.  I also am a patient of Dr. G.  I would call Dr. G's office and they would say that they hadn't heard from UHC.  I called the insurance company on an unrelated matter and while I had them on the phone I asked.  She said that I had been approved.  So I knew I had been approved before I heard from the surgeons office.  Also, I had changed my mind later on type of surgery I wanted.  I had originally started for the lapband and then later after I had all the tests done, I went to see Dr. G for my second appt.   This is the appointment that usually you get the date of surgery.  I told her that i changed my mind and wanted the gastric bypass.  WELL.... they had to resubmit everything to UHC for approval for THAT surgery.  So that delayed my surgery.  Lesson learned. You are only approved for that specific surgery.
Good luck to you!   Hope you get a speedy approval!!

hi all... just wanted to know if anyone experienced my horror story...  i just came to find out my nutrition visits with heather are not covered. i have United Health, and suppose to have 5 visits a year...guess what, they paid them then asked for the money back saying it was a mistake on thier part, and now i am responsible for the visits out of pocket....

i am still fighting with them, which is a daily stuggle.... someone needs to hold me back before i jump through the phone...AAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for letting me vent!
