hey everyone-

Wow time is flying by! I lurk all the time exspecially now since I am out of work due to a broken ankle,{ which is healing from surgery by the way!) Three screws later! lol Well On sept 27,2009 will be 3 yrs for me!! yeah!! I lost a total of 120 pounds! Then I noticed I was gaining in 2008 and gained almost 30 pounds, well went back to the nutritionist and all, got back on track and as of today I have only 9 pounds to get back to my lowest weight after wls! Saw Dr.Ryder yesterday and she was impressed at how well I was doing! I started at 327 and now am 223! I started at the gym a couple of weeks ago and hubby and I go 3 times a week for an hour or 2 depending! Well congrats to everyone, and I just wanted to give a quick holla!

Thanks to all who have posted, talked through this or listened to my complaints!  Just to update everyone I am heading in for exploratory surgery next Friday the 25th so hopefully Dr. P will find the cause and correct this pain!  I am so glad to see th end to this pain is in sight but scared at the same time to be going into surgery and have no idea what they will need to do.  I just have to have faith that all will happen as god intends and I am in his hands for this journey.

Thanks again for all the support.  You are all the best!

Hi Linda,

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom being sick and that you have received some bad news. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

On the positive side, congrats on your weight loss! WoW! 75 lbs in five months is fantastic! You're doing great (besides the not exercising enough part. lol)!

If you need ANYthing, please call me!

Remember to take care of yourself! You have to come first!

See you at the next meeting.

i know what you mean about the weight loss slowing down...i am only doing about 2 pounds a week, if that... but like you, i am happy with something. i am sure if i exercised more than i have i would have a better result.  i have gone from a 24 to a 16  and a 3x to a L...i am thrilled as a pig in you know what. that's not bad for 5 months out.... i just reached 75 pounds last week!!! i still have 40 to go, but anything from here is plus!!!!!!!!

take care

linda

ps: keep up the good work!

I forgot about the meeting tonight... maybe the next meeting?  My life is CRAZY!!  I am going to school part-time, working full time, juggling my daughters school schedule (she started preschool monday) and I take my son to my FIL while I work too! Then I come home to cook and clean!  I really would like to attend another meeting though!

Hey Eldy!

How'd you appointment go? How was your walk?

I notice my weight loss slowed down around 6-7 months out as well. I got so used to scaling it and seeing huge results then slid into the inevitable and slowed right down.

Unfortunately, we have to do what most 'normal' people do and stay off our bums and do the "E" word. Yuck! But necessary!

You're doing great!
