I was just looking for some tip on must haves at the hospital. I will be at RWH and not really sure what to bring? Any help would be great. Thanks
Topic: Dr. Roye Patients
All you patients of Dr. Roye can now catch his face on Route 95 in Providence. If you haven't noticed yet he is on billboards on Rt. 95 South at Atwells Avenue exit and Rt. 95 North in Cranston near Cruise Brothers. The billboards publicize RI hospital surgeons. He is also in the RI Hospital commercials.

Do you normally do 4 mile bike rides? To the intensity that you did yesterday? Walking a hill at the end? Sounds like plain old muscle fatigue to me.

Thank you for sharing your story it is such a good reminder that this is a lifelong commitment and making those changes permanent is going to take continued commitment and determination. I have a way to go and the weightloss is slowing down so your story helps me so much. Thanks again and happy healing! Keep fighting the good fight.

I hope that you are feeling better today. I still think maybe not enough calories but just an opinion.
I hope you are not in too much pain today!

Topic: Just wondering why my legs felt like jello
Well my husband & I decided to go for a 4 mile bike ride. My legs decided they had enough so the last couple of feet I decided to get off the bike and walk the hill. Problem is when I went to get off the bike my legs turned to jello and I fell to the ground in the street and when I looked up there was this big white Ford pickup truck coming at me. Yikes and I couldn't get up cause my legs was still jello. I had breakfast 45mins to an hour before the bike ride and I thought I ate enough. I had a (2) egg omelet with (1) slice of low carb wheat bread. I am a little over 8months post-op.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and what could have caused my legs to give from under me. Any advise?

Sorry, got so excited, I forgot to say sorry to hear about your ankle. Thats awful. My daughter has broken her ankle before ( not to the extent of surgery) and you never know how important that cotton picin' ankle is until you can't use it. Hope your recovery goes quickly! Take care! Eldy
