Hi Andrew!

It's so nice to hear positive things about the docs' office staff from time-to-time! I'm glad you've had a positive experience thus far!

You're well on your way! And have already lost 19 pounds to boot!

Great job!

Keep us posted, k?

Hey Eldy,

I have a problem with meatballs too so I basically smoosh them to little tiny pieces into the sauce. I think they are just too bulky/dry to handle.

It's funny, I do fine with meatloaf though. Weird.

Glad you're still thinking about getting your protein in when you're having problems with solids. Good job!

Hi Bri,

Grrr Kicking Dirt Duh Thumbs Down Pouty  Soapbox

But you do understand the doc's reasons and that puts you in first place for consideration! Good for you!

AND...On the positive side....look at the money you saved on colonics! There are people in Beverly Hills forkin' out good cash to pay for what you got for free! LOL

Now you can make it to the Rhode Island Hospital support group tonight! Woo Hoo! I'll be looking for you and Michele there!

Jules

Topic: Sorry I've been MIA ..... missed everyone
Hi everyone

Feels like forever since I've been on the boards or to a meeting and I'm soooooooo sorry.  I do miss everyone and hope to make a meeting this month.

Life has been crazy, good but crazy.   We got our first house and moved in August and also got 2 puppies that are now 16 weeks old.  Plus I started a new job in June and got placed in my permanent location in August ....... so just lots of changes and adjusting.

I had been at a standstill for about 3 months with my weight and then from July 4th to August 23rd I dropped 11 lbs and no idea how.  Lost another 5 since then and am about 15 lbs from where I want to be.  Definately need to get my skin done but that can wait until the end of next summer.

My hubby got me a bowflex as a house warming present and the puppies give me lots of exercise too.  Taking a cruise next month and found that my clothes from this summer & my May cruise are all too big now

I have my one year follow-up since my revision to RNY coming up in 2 weeks, nervous about getting on that scale.  For some reason Dr. Pohl's scale scares me even though I weigh in weekly at home.

Well off to work, I promise to try not to be a stranger anymore.

Good luck to you!  Hoping the surgery is uneventful and recovery is swift and pain free.

Hiya Deb

Yes ont he lapband board.  My surgery date is October 27 and I start the fasting part on the 14th.  My doctor is Dieter Pohl.  Love him!  He was my sister's doctor when she had bypass about 5 years ago.

Have to say, that this was the easiest process I have ever gone through in all of my adult years - and I am a nurse to boot!  Smooth as silk.  No problems with any appointments, no problems with Insurance....I think this is a tremendous credit to the staff at Dr. V's office: Amy & Meghan especially.

My first appt with Dr. V was June 26th, and now it's a week and a half away from surgery - amazing process.

Definitely recommend the Dr. V gang....
