Hi Linda!   Yeah, I have been going the that too.  I think I have lost about 4 pounds in about a month.   But, I know I am not working that hard on it.  I am not cheating.  I mean, I still follow the pouch rules and all, but I am not exercising like a should.  I do use the stairs instead of an elevator.  And I do park further out to walk to the store or whatever.  But to actually go for a walk or do formal exercising... not a regular habit.  And THAT will be the trick to get it moving again.  We both know that.  Its doing it that takes the most energy!  Keep the faith!  Its a LIFETIME commitment.  You have a lifetime to lose it.  Not a deadline.  Just keep on going and you'll make it.  Lifestyle changes take time.  We have been doing things are old way for many, many years.  Its going to take more than a few months to change that.  But WE CAN DO IT!!      Love ya!  Eldy

The coupon they sent (ISOPURE) me to my email was for $1.00 off and expired 9/30/09. ~shrugs~

I've emailed the company...could be a fluke.

Just an FYI.

ETA: Isopure was the company for the coupon

Hello everyone!  I am not sure how many people are aware of this but Bariatric Advantage offers free Gastric Bypass Sample Kits.  I was able to get mine via  live chat from their website but have heard that you need to call them in order to get one.  Their phone number is 800-898-6888.  Just thought that I'd let everyone know.

Also if you like Isopure, you can get a $2.00 off coupon from http://www.isopureplus.com/join_the_revolution.html.  Also if you email them and ask about free samples, they will also send you a free sample as well,  Just visit www.isopureplus.com and use the contact us link to send them an email asking about this.  they will respond and ask you to send your name and address in order to get the samples sent to you.

Just thought everyone would like to know about this as I know the protein and other supplements we need to use can be somewhat costly at times.  Even if the samples are only good for one serving or one day, its still that much less you need to buy!

If anyone else knows of any other products that offer free samples, please let us know!  Thanks

Brian

Hey Jenn!

This will be a lucky Friday the 13th for you!!  Congrats on getting a date and the only advice I can give you would be:

*  Follow ALL instructions from your NUT and from Dr. G
*  Walk, walk and walk some more.  I know it will hurt but the more you walk, the better you will feel!
*  Sip, sip, sip fluids.  Again, it may hurt and you may not want to do it but you will feel better!  Plus coming back to the Hospital because your dehydrated is no fun!
*  Bring your own protein shakes.  Trust me!
*  Get involved with a support group!  RWH has 2; Living Life Support group is on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Greene Lounge (right off the cafeteria) 7p-9p and Weigh to Win Support group is on the 4th Thursday of the month in the Kay Auditorium from 6p-7:30p.

We'll be saving a seat on the Loser's bench for you!
