Hi This is Brian's wife, I promised him I would post tonight to update everyone. He is doing well. He was pretty convinced that Dr Roye would have to do the surgery open, but he was able to do it laporoscopically so yeay! He did have a complication though, apparently when they were transecting the stomach, the top of (I assume the reminant stomach not the pouch) tore. He had to cut out a wedge of the stomach to fix it but Dr Roye assures me that this will not be a problem at all. Thank you for all the well wishes for Brian.

Topic: Is the second time the charm?
I went to see Dr. G today and she is rescheduling me!! Woo hoo!! She was very sweet and told me that she had hoped to see me again after my "issues" in May. She said "last time just wasn't your time - this time is - I have a good feeling about it" 
The office is supposed to call me in the next few days to give me my date, but they are scheduling around 12/1 right now according to the office so I figure it will be some time around then.
Since last time I was cancelled after my pre-admission testing at the hospital, I really am not getting my hopes up until those results come back. I asked Dr. G if I could call after that blood work is run to make sure I am all set and she said I could. So really, I will know for sure if I am moving forward one week before my date - crazy!
But right now I am definitely headed in the right direction and I am cautiously optimistic if nothing else!!!

hey eldy... it was good to hear from you!!! you are absolutely right about the exercise, i got to make it a habit!!! and as far as having a lifetime to lose it, right again!!! i have abot 25-30 to go...i wanted to try and make my goal before new yrs, bt i dont forsee it...an i am definately ok with that!!!
