Good Luck I know you can do this. It will be a great accomplishment.
My sister is a runner. I am hoping to do a 5k with her next Thanksgiving. She dose the Turkey Trot in her home town.

My brother and sister have challenged me to a 5k on Memorial Day in my hometown of Waterloo NY.
My brother who is also overweight has been running for a couple of years now thinks he will win.
So my sister and I are in training to BEAT him! He is 1 year older and she is 4 years younger than me.
I have been doing 3 miles on the treadmill now about a month, now I am working in some running off an on too.

Unfortunately it sounds right to me. Without realizing this I gave my notice as being the last day of the month and that was also the last day I had health insurance. If you leave on the 15th, you have until the end, because the premium has been paid for the month. Check to make sure, but it does sound about right....STAY HEALTHY..........

Unfortunately, that sounds accurate. Every place I've ever worked, insurance runs through the end of the month that your employment ends. Unfortunately, those happened to be the same day.
But I would follow up with the HR VP that told you otherwise. If you can pin them down on that, they may have to provide that for you.

Long story short... I left my current job (gave them 2 weeks notice) and stayed through the entire 2 weeks.... they tell me on my last day that my insurance is terminated as of that day (yesterday, TUESDAY the 30th of Nov.)
IS THAT ACCURATE?? Previous to leaving, the HR VP told me my insurance would be valid until Dec 30th.
I NEED SERIOUS HELP. I do not want to pay for COBRA, but I need to know my rights...
=(
