Me too! I'm excited - I figure we can count the dancing towards exercise so a drink or two wont matter

What is your preference? Corrine's or Mardi Gras?

Friday at Corrine's is Killer Kane & The Blue F.O.'s and at Mardi Gras they have the 4 different rooms but in the country room there will be a CAT Country DJ there hosting... Either one is fine with me!

Hi Kathy!

Good thing there are some great support groups you can attend until you are able to see Dr. Roye! There is so much you can learn by going to them!

If you would like a list of support groups in RI, please send an email to me at [email protected]. I'll send you a calendar with contact info.

If you call Dr. Roye's office every few days, some times there are cancellations! Maybe you'll be able to reschedule sooner!

See you at a meeting soon!

Happy Holidays!

Jules

Hey Pam,

I know I see you on FB too but have to say congrats here as well! This is where I met you and so many of my wonderful 'new-life' friends!

I'm so proud of you! Each time I see you, I am totally amazed with your journey! I love sharing this journey with people who have the passion that you have to be healthy!

Your family is so lucky to have you healthy and happy. Our health and happiness really trickles to them too!

To me and so many other WLS friends you are an inspiration and a power of example of someone *****ally wants to Live Life!

See you on FB!

Love ya!

Hi Chris,

I know exactly what you're saying about the honeymoon phase being over. My appetite is back too! Especially with the holidays here! Aaaargh!

I made up an simple acronym that helps me stay on track...

A.C.E.

A-Attend support groups

C-stay Conscious of what I put into my mouth

E-Exercise at least 3-5 days per week

I wish I could say it gets easier once the appetite returns but it doesn't. We just have to do our best to stay on the program we've set for ourselves.

Personally, I weigh myself every morning.

If I notice I'm going a pound up from where I want to be, I (literally) say outloud ACE!

Each time I make a food choice, I think ACE and I end up making a healthier choice.

Each time I just want to sit on my bum, I think ACE and at least go for a walk or get busy around the house or play Wii.

Each time I start feeling invincible, I think ACE and either hit a meeting or call someone.

Sounds kinda weird but it works for me. When I think ACE, I kinda feel like I'm also saying 'I'M in control...I can ACE this'.

Maybe you can come up with a 'magic' word that would work for you. Please share it if you come up with one.

You're doing so well and you and Lisa are truly blessed to have each other by your sides!

Happy Holidays!

Jules

Hi Everyone - I sent out a message on Facebook but I'm sure I missed some people so I wanted to post it here. I was hoping to plan an impromptu get together tomorrow night for a bunch of us to go out dancing and have a good time! Julie, Kellie and I recently went to Corrine's and that was definitely a good time - we could go there too or we could also check out Mardi Gras - everyone is invited so let me know if you are interested - we can all meet there and have a good time!

Invite whoever you like - let me know what you think and which place you prefer!

Hi friends,

Well my surgery was on AUgust 25th and on Tuesday of this week I hit 60lbs!!

I have been working out 4-5 days a week and have been faithful to the regime.

I find it hard not to compare myself to CHris and others who seem to lose it a lot faster, but have faced the fact that 2-3 lbs a week is what I can expect.

Suddenly, people are noticing and its great to hear it!

see you at the next Living Life Meeting!!
