questions, questions, questions

I've been doing a lot of reading and i'm getting freaked out. Does everyone have a drain tube? What is the leak test, does it hurt? When you wake up from surgery, do you still have the tube in your nose? Do you really have problems w/hygeine after surgery? I had my gallbladder out 2 years ago, it was day surgery. I've never stayed overnight in a hospital.

Kelli, I didn't have a drain tube cuz I had it done Lap...I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...I had the tube in my nose when I woke up from surgery, and they did the leak test through the tube, and no it didn't hurt, it was just weird having it there. They took it out that same night though. I don't think I have any problems with hygeine...I take my daily shower and I've been fine...I only had stayed overnight in the hospital when I was about 8 years old...I hated it then, and I hated it now...it's just that you're not in your own bed, and you're not home...but I got through it...so will you....stop freakin out...just ask and we'll answer ya..
