wooohoo I'm off all of my meds.....cept for

Hi everybody, well I went to my pcp this morning, and he was just amazed at my 22 lb weight loss...his wife is his secretary and he yelled out the door, she's down even more...well he took my bp and then said get off the meds now...YIPPIE...so now I take something for allergies when needed....a sleeping pill at night (always needed) and my paxil....(something that I don't know if I should get off of yet)....Hey thats coming from someone who took like 13 medications and insulin injections daily....15 days out and the surgery was oooooooh so worth it already....It's just amazing how much healthier I feel already....My friend Rose told me last night that I just look soooooo Happy.......and well I am...*smile* Teri

Teri, I am just so amazed that you are off your meds. That is so great!! I too am on hb meds, but I am so used to taking them...been taking them for over 20 yrs...by the way, i too am on an antidepressent. Did you crush yours when you first came home and are you still doing this or are you taking it whole? I ask this because some meds are not meant to be crushed...and I think they are the anti depressents. I know I dont want to get off them...they are a life saver for me. carol

Carol, thank you...I'm so happy I don't have to take 13 pills a day and a shot anymore.. The paxil they gave me in the hospital was in liquid form, it was disgusting...I said forget it, I just won't take it anymore...but when I got home I tried taking the whole pill..it isn't a big pill and I didn't and don't have a problem taking it whole...I won't do crushed anything cuz i'll throw up...it just doesn't work for me. So now I just take my 2 little pills a night and thats that... I know I did want to try to get off of the paxil but with the struggles of 4 teenagers and a damn husband...I think I'd become an alcoholic if I didn't have my little pink pill..lmao... Teri

Way to go Teri!!!!!! I can't wait to be off my BP meds. How much walking are you doing now? compare to before the surgery?

Hiya Al...I've been worried about cha...you been ok? I'm not walking as much as I should be, I've just got to get myself to get up and go on the treadmill..I'm so bad...I always need a buddy to work out with me, so I have to learn to be a loner when it comes to working out... Much Love, Teri
