Hey Kris,
I bought the string cheese and had some today, I didn't get diarrhea!!! I think you cured my problem....You're an
My pcp told me this morning, that I could be allergic to the protein powders and drinks that i've been drinking....so he wants me to try and get the protein from the foods I take in....but how in the world can I bring in 64 grams of protein with the little bit i can eat?
HMmmmmm
Love ya,
Teri
hiya
i'm glad that you were good with the string cheese! just think... that's 9 grams of protein. eat 7 of them a day, and you've got your 60+g of protein. LOL jk. i'm not recommending that, at all.
i'd definitely put a call into Sue Manchester, the dietician. She should be able to help you out.. and who knows, they may move you to more solid proteins sooner to help out with the protein? otherwise.. just stick with super high protein foods. try baking some fish? i know i'd kill for some fish right now.. lol
let us know how you make out!!
Kris, Sue was at the meeting last night and she know's what i'm going through...My pcp told me to buy some nutrician bars with protein, so i went to walmart and found Something called Pure Protein 3g net carbs and 20 grams protein....Chocolate Peanut Butter...YUMMY.....I chewed and chewed and chewed and it went down really really well....so hopefully that will be what I use for protein at least to suppliment....I bought some shrimp....I think that's what i'll have tonight...
MMmmmmmmms I still taste the peanut butter.....

Thanks for cheking on me Teri, it is funny how you get to know people, i was calling the hospital to get your status when you had your surgery, and the first 2-3 days all they would tell me was that you were in the ICU, the first time i called i gave your name as it appears on this website and they could not find you, and i remember getting an e-mail from you before we all changed our identities due to the fact that anyone can punch in our name in a google search and read all about it. But finally i just went with the last name and they asked me what city you live in and that was on your profile, finally they gave me the status. I am sooooo happy on your progress and I hope to attend the next support group meeting to meet you. I believe the next one is on June 7th, correct?
It is funny, I think of all of you as family....I remember when I first got my date, I had to drive directly down to NJ to my aunt's wake..so I couldn't get online and tell everyone about the date...It basically drove me nutty....
I don't know for sure about the 7th but I'm sure everyone on here will let us know when it is...I don't have any kind of list..I just bascially go by the 1st wednesday of every month....
