I've tried to have tuna fish or sweet potato and they always come right back up....I don't know what it could be...I'm pureeing it and taking small bites but everytime I try it, it doesn't want to stay down....I had the same thing happen with pistashios...i pureed them, figuring thats a good source of protein and maybe a little snack...but nope...came right back up..... things I can tolerate... egg beaters with some kind of meat pureed in it... corned beef hash pureed.... I've tried chicken with gravy pureed really good....that stayed good, but then it was the bathroom seen for about 2 hours on and off...so I don't think i'll have that for awhile... Refried beans, well they tasted real good, but same as above.... So I think i'll stick with the egg beaters for now and corned beef...do you know there are 19 grms of protein in corned beef? I was shocked....its funny all i do is read labels now lol...i couldn't have been bothered before the surgery... Well hope everyone is doing well today....oh yeah its 2 weeks today and i'm down 22 lbs... Teri

Morning Teri, Give it time - you will find things that don't make you feel that way. I know it's hard. But, we'll talk more about it later at the meeting......lol I think the first month or so i lived on eggs, cheese, mashed potatoes corned beef hash, yogurt, soup, soup and more soup.......can't think of anything else right now. See ya tonite, Elisa

hey girlie. i haven't found too many things that my pouch doesn't like - but chicken salad was one of them!! ugh. i take the teeniest of bites, but that still managed to get stuck. i haven't gotten sick yet.. but man, that HURT!!! it took about 10 minutes for it to make its way through, and i felt tons better. i haven't really been too daring on my food consumption. Helen told me to just stick with what i was eating last week and then we'll talk about adding things on Friday. So I've been eating the same can of refried beans for about a week.. lol. same with cottage/ricotta cheese. i tried a beef taco bake my mom makes.. and that seemed to go down pretty well. i have had some cauliflower, steamed then mashed with a lot of cheese. i could live on that.. but there isn't THAT much protein, so i won't.. i've been able to eat cheese sticks for a snack... so i've been eating 1/2-whole one of those almost every night. just chew, chew, chew, chew, chew til it's liquid in my mouth. lol i'm sure i'll start finding things i can't handle.. but for now i'm happy. tonight i think i'm going to try this Smart Chili my mom found in the vegetarian section. It has 19g protein in 2 oz, i believe!! so hopefully that goes down well!! has anyone tried saltine's? i've heard they're okay for puree, because they just melt in your mouth... but they aren't on our lists... i'd love a cracker with my chili! kristen

hey kris, I had some oyster crackers in my soup a few days ago, and it does disolve so i think its ok....I've got to find that smart chili...that's a great way to get in protein. I wish you were going tonite, but i'll see ya next month...Your lucky you haven't thrown up yet...but it really isn't that bad, its like it just comes up...no forcing nothing...then automatically i feel better. I'll have to get some cheese sticks too...what kind do you buy? the kind you cook or the string cheese? Ter
