Best of luck to both you and your husband. I had the lap band surgery and I am feeling great. I have lost 25 lbs since starting the pre-op diet. Dr. Pohl is great and you are in good hands. It is nice that your husband will be going thru this with you, it will be great. Take care, e-mail if you have any questions. Norma

1. my favorite protein is unflavored unjury mixed with lactaid and sweet n low chocolate syrup to make chocolate milk 2. My last pre-op meal was a 12 ounce steak with mashed potatoes from Outback and some of those little mushroom appetizers... (yeah, I remember!) 3. Head hunger still gets me, I would say a 5/10. 4. I dump on anything greater than 9g of sugar or things that contain a lot of fatty milk. 5. My tastes have change in that I don't crave sweets at all!!! I want salty things, and I can see myself wanting something greasy now. 6. If I do, I guess I could have a sugar free popsicle. 7. I had to do a 1 week liquid diet. 8. If I eat out at a restaurant, I generally share with someone and don't eat a lot. 9. My husband eats a lot healthier and he exercises a lot more. He's in much better shape now! 10. I take the chewable optisource vitamins. Phew! Jen

I'm soooo jealous that you are eating salad. I MISS salad sooo much, it's one of my favorite foods ... I just thought the uncooked veggies would be too rough on my pouch now ... when did you start eating it? Do you eat the onions, tomatoes, carrots, etc. etc.? Or do you just eat lettuce? Good Maude, I want a salad! xosm
