nails and etc... ........
Good Morning to all,
Especially a good morning and a good luck and a speedy recovery to Teri and Kristen. Hope Teri is doing much better today, Kristen, Good Luck to you, and we all want to hear from you and how the surgery went.
One question I have is and I havent noticed ladies here ask this, but what about acrilyc nails. I have them over my own nails. I did ask Dr. Harrington and he sort of said, he didnt think it really mattered. That wasnt a yes or a no. Who should I ask about this. I have my next nail appointment a few days before my surgery in May, Should I take them off, leave them on and just take one off, or just leave them on. Can anyone here shed some light on this please? Thanks Carol
Hey Carol,I'm here!!!
Okay well I had acrylic over my nails or had wraps, can't remember and I was fine. I think the only thing they think about is the oxygen thingy they put on your finger to check those levels. It really depends on how picky they get about it, maybe call the nurses station at the hopital and ask them cause the surgeon may not know. I would leave them on but I'm kind of a rebel.....lol.....it won't mess up your surgery but the the nurses may get pissed....hehe
Give the hospital a call if it is iggy you and you need to know, if not I say let em stay pretty

Hi crystal I'm glad everything has been going well for you I can totally understand the part of wanting to drink more than you want to eat it seems as though I have to make myself eat and my husband keeps getting on me because he thinks I'm not eating enough but as of today I have lost 19 pounds. But now I see how a big part of my life involved eating out and it is a big change but a good change that I am embracing. So I wish you continued succeess on your weight loss!Be blessed ~latoya~
Yeah, if you have a smooth recovery you can go back after 2 weeks. I had a chance to interview with an employer I've been trying to get in with for a while now, and actually attended a recruiting event the day I got home from the hospital (3 days post-op). I had my binder on under my black power suit, and I actually did just fine!
Maybe your employer can give you an extra break or a bit of leeway the 1st week to let you adjust, but if you have a desk job, you should be fine. Good luck with your surgery and recovery!!!
