KRISTIN'S NEXT.......surgery tomorrow!!!
Kristin:
I'll be up there to see you and Teri in a day or so. You were right, she wasn't moved yet, so I had to wait. But they assured me that she's fine and I'm happy about that. I will call and check on you tomorrow night and hopefully see you both on Friday. (I may sneak up and see Teri tomorrow night, if she's up to it).
I'm proud of you girl!! You've been hanging in there, even when it was super hard. I think being at your parents house is going to help a great deal. Can't wait to see you two losers!!!!
Much love and best wishes for a VERY speedy recovery!!!!

YES !! Your body is going thru a million things after that surgery. It takes time to catch up with itself ! Emotionally and mentally we are also so different even though the surgeon didn't go near our brains. ( He didn't did he ?! )
There are times when I get frustrated over the most minor things and when I walk around with a smile for no reason !! Just give yourself the time to get to know a little bit about the new you. I have found that journaling helps. Vent what you need to and document all of your successes no matter how small they may seem at the time.
Everyone told us all about the physical stuff but no one really went into detail about the other changes. Give yourself time and the permission to feel whatever you feel.
Have a wonderful day and remember we are always here to vent to and bounce ideas and thoughts off of !
Oh sure. I've had days when I just wanted to cry or am just mad or looked ticked off but I'm not really. With all of the changes we go through, it's to be expected. Also you have to think about the hormones going crazy too. Our "fat" stores up extra estrogen and we are flushing that out of our systems...I think we as women have enough problems with hormones without that extra estrogen working against us. I have found a couple of different ways to lift my mood....shopping, journalling and putting on some beautiful music. I use a site on the net called rhapsody and literally can dial up any type of music I love. I personally love Southern Gospel. It lifts my spirit and does me good! Then there are times when I put on some VanHalen....just depends on the mood I'm in... I put it on the computer and do some crafting. Being creative helps me a lot. I love making beautiful jewelry and cards. So give yourself a break...the down time won't be long, find that place of contentment and know that you have taken charge of your health, you are a wonderful and beautiful person inside and out. Know you are a treasure and treasure yourself. We are not only changing physically, but emotionally as well. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful. Now do it....I promise when you see yourself as a beautiful and wonderful beloved daughter of the one most high, you will begin to feel inside your sense of self worth. This was the most predominate change I had ever made in my life and I know it will help you too.
