MESSAGE BOARDS AGAIN

I just went back to ask.com and put in a friends of mine 's name and up came her personal profile for this site..Her bmi,. Her weight..Etc....This is very personal in nature.... What can we do????

Carol, I'm so upset about this...I thought our stuff was personal....jeez I want to take everything I have on here out now...this absolutely sucks...I don't want anyone other then those going through what we are going through to read about me.... Teri

you girls could consider just putting your first name and last initial. that may help. I changed mine to my nickname and last initial, but all the info still comes up if they type in my whole name. stinks!!!! Shel

This really stinks, I don't want anybody other than people who truly understand what we are going through to read my personal info. I immediately removed my last name to only the first letter of it.

I'm very sorry for your distress. As with most free sites, we do offer the option to make your profile private, but if you don't AND you use your real name, then google can access it and put it in their database. * If you want privacy you have two options available to you: 1. Use a fake name. That's MY preferred option. (If you want to change your name, log in, choose General Info and then just change your first/last name to whatever). 2. Check the box on your profile's General Info page to make it private. But then nobody but you can see your profile. It's up to you.
