How's everyone doing?
Hi, its me, Teri again.....the days are going by so slowly. I'm excited that in a week I'll be at the doctors office hopefully to get my date. I'm worried that my tests will have something wrong and I'll have to wait longer...but I was hoping that if something was wrong they would have called me....am I right in thinking that way? I mean my pre op testing....would they have called before my meeting with Dr Roye for my date? If anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks,
Teri
Teri:
I have no idea of how Dr. Roye's office handles that kind of thing. But don't work yourself into a tizzy. Be calm...be happy...and enjoy this moment, because before you know it, it will be gone.
I've really been trying hard to think that way. Rather than be so gosh darn impatient (as I usually am ...LOL), I'm trying to enjoy each particular moment in this process and write about it. I am journaling all of my feelings, the things that I've wanted to do or eat. Because someday I'm hoping to look back and see just how different I was (physically and emotionally) BEFORE the surgery.
Use this time to prepare yourself. Sure, you can pack a bag for the hospital and buy all of the goodies that you think you may need when you get home......but now is the time to mentally prepare yourself for what's to come.
And as your angel in waiting, I've sent little prayers to God, asking him for a very uneventful surgery and very speedy recovery for you. But for now, just breathe and smile. Enjoy your day...we can never get this one back when it's over. Tommorow will come soon enough and we needn't borrow trouble where there is none.
Just my thoughts Teri! And I know..........."easier said than done", right? LOL. Take care. Keep us posted next week. I see Dr. Roye myself on the 29th for my first consult since changing surgeons, so perhaps he'll see that most of my testing is done. Who knows?
Hugs to you today. Supposed to be nice here in RI.....enjoy the day.

i'm pretty sure they would call you if there was something wrong with the test itself, like the pictures weren't clear enough, or there wasn't enough blood drawn, etc.
but i'm not sure how they handle it if there's something wrong with the results from said tests..
here's to hoping that nothing is wrong!!
