Random Ramblings
Ok so I'm really REALLY excited to have my surgery date.
I do have to admit though I was a little bummed that I'm not going to have my surgery until the end of June.
I really didn't want to have to buy any new clothes for spring/summer in the size I am in now due to they will never be used again.
I have a few things left from last year but I really don't think they are going to fit due to the fact that I have gained at the minimum 20 lbs from last summer to now.
Maybe I can stuff myself into them somehow but I just hate that over the top of the pants belly roll so we'll see how things look.
Worst come to worst I'll hit Savers or Wal-Mart for Capris as I work and have to have something to wear that's somewhat decent.
I'd like to start walking now and get a head start on things but I'm so afraid of my back and the pain it gives me when I do.
After my stress test I was in agony for 4 days with my sciatic nerve.
And anyone who suffers from sciatica knows it's hellish.
But on the flip side if I can get some weight off now it's less I gotta get off later.
I know my body, and normally every winter I put on a few pounds but once spring comes and activity levels rise I normally take off a few pounds without effort.
I know it's not going to be the 20lbs. I need to get in my clothes but even if it's the 8lbs. that I have put on since December that would be great!
We'll see..
Anyways I send out big hugs to all my surgery sisters and brothers who are finally shedding their winter coat this spring for good!!!!
I see you at the beach!!!!!

NaDene,
I had surgery in August of 2004, I have sciatica. When I had my cardiac stress test they did it with chemicals so I didn't have to walk. I have lost about 60 pounds and the sciatica isn't so bad. When it was bad I would load up on Motrin (I can't do that now) before I walked and it would help some. I also found if I pushed a carriage (baby or food) it helped. (My son is 37 and he refused to get in the baby carriage. LOL Good Luck
