Where is everybody?
Hi Teri and all the others who posted to this thread. I am so happy to see some activity on this board as well. I have been waiting to get the last few tests done before I meet with Dr. Roye and schedule surgery. I have been at this for a long time as I was denied by insurance and had to appeal. I have been to a couple of the monthly meetings at Gerry House. I missed this past month because I had to have arthroscopic surgery on my knee. I would love to have some local contacts. Email me anytime and we can talk or go to the next meeting together.

Hi Terry
I like to come on this site to talk to people from my area, i makes me feel connected. My Doctor is Dr. Pohl, i met with him already, and had my appt. with the nutrionist. All i have to do is have and endoscopy on the 22th and hopefully after that i can meet with him to scedule my surgery if all goes right. I am so nervous right now, lots of emotions going on. But i know this is a good decision that i am making. This will be the stepping stone to get where i want to be. Hope to chat soon.

Hello everyone,
I went to see Dr. Roye on January 23rd and my surgery is scheduled for May 9th. I have completed all of my testing, which is required before that final visit with Dr. Roye to get your appt. Now I am just waiting, waiting and more waiting. I am getting anxious. The idea of surgery does not bother me, I have had 6 surgeries for various things. I am getting anxious to be on the other side, to start losing.
Teri,
I keep telling my daughter the same thing. LOL
Nice to see so many replying to this message!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Kristen, and I am from Cranston, RI. I am very new to all of this, I am still gearing up for the fight with my insurance company...I have UHC. I have sleep apnea, hypertension, and probably arthritis in my knee joints, and can hardly get up a flight of stairs without being in tremendous pain. Reading everyone's posts gives me motivation to keep in the fight, and I know that someday I will achieve my goal. I just turned 32 last week, and with a new year comes new things. Thank you all for being here, and it is a great support to see others that are going through either what I am going through, or hopefully will be going through.
