I'm seeing Dr. Roye

I had my initial visit with Helen in Dr. Roye's office, she was very nice, I did all my preop tests (I just have to go for the blood work 2 weeks before surgery) and I am waiting for my packet to come in the mail. I was approved after being denied. My pcp sent in an apeal and I received my letter of approval last week. Tentitively my surgery date is 3/10/06 according to the insurance. But I don't have a secure enough date until I recieve my packet I guess. I live in Westerly so it is kind of a ride for me to come up to Providence to a support group meeting, but I would love to go to the next one, could anyone tell me when and where the next meeting is? Hi Teri, The next meeting is on March 1st. Its at Jerry House. The meeting starts at 6:30. I am hoping to go to this one for the first time also. Claudia

Hi Claudia, I'd love to go. I'm hoping I get my friend to come with me, I don't like driving at night, but I will do it if I have to. I live in Westerly, where are you from? Teri

Hi Teri, I attend the meetings every month and you will really like the support team. They have some really special people there to help with questions you might have. They are even forming a walk for April. Hopefully I will see you there. Diane Also you can use the parking located one street over from the meeting and its not too expensive.

Hi Teri, My name is Carol Bedrossian and I am going to have surgery as well, I have to have one more blood test and I have to pick up my sleep apparatus in West Warwick the coming MOnday March 7, I havent seen Dr Harrngton yet but I have met with Helen. I was wondering, did you have to lose some weight before your surgery date. Did you have to go to a sleep clinic? I had to and it was hell.... by the way, my daugher in law's parents live in Westerly too....their name is Iacoi on HIllview Avenue. Please let me know if you receive this ok??? I havent been to any support groups yet, as its been so cold and I hate driving at night, but I have to go and I missed this one yesterday.
