BCBSRI Healthmate Coast to Coast
Hay Sue!
I have the same coverage and I am seeing Doctor Roye. I went to see Doctor Phole first and after completing some of the testing he told me to come back in six months. I was devastated. I went home that day and called Dr. Roys office and I am sooo thankful I did. From the minute that I told them I had this coverage they said I would have no problems. Well low and behold they were right!!! I got my approval letter the Friday before Christmas!!! Dr. Roys office sets up all your pre appointments for you and mails you the info. With Dr Phole I felt I was stumbling around in the dark. Now, I truly am soo happy Dr. Phole sent me away because I now feel I am where I really needed to be. With less then a month and a half past since I got my approval and packet I am just about done with my testing. I am now one test away from being done with my prepo testing.
Oh and just a FYI with our coverage our deductible is $500.00 for the psych eval. DO NOT LET THIS SCARE YOU!!! Do all you other appointments first and the billing will easly eat that up so when its time for you to go all you will have to pay is about 25.00 (its 10% of the cost of the visit). I called BCBS and asked them about it. They are wonderful with customer service. So far I've had only three co-payments of $25.00 (sleep study, psych evaland my first visit with Dr. Roye) everything else was billed.
Chest xray-billed
Stress test-billed
pulmonary functions test-billed
ekg-billed
nutritionist-billed (Lori Spellman is WONDERFUL! Shes the second name on the list Dr. Roys sends you)
esophageal test-billed
psych eval-25.00
Sleep studie-25.00
Oh and btw my bmi is 41 also!!!!
Anyother questions feel free to ask!!!!
Good Luck!
