Haven't posted in a while.............

It has been 5 months since my last post. So much has happened! I am now 1 week post op from a hernia repair/belt lipectomy(lower body lift). When I found out I had the hernia Dr. Pohl suggested I see a plastic surgeon to remove some excess skin. I love that man! I would have never done that on my own. I still had to pay $9000 out of pocket....it was a tough decison for me. If I didn't have the hernia the cost of the lipectomy would have been atleast $25,000..something I never would have done. My husband and I discussed it for weeks and decided to go for it! I am so glad I did. There is still quite a lot of pain and swelling, and will be for quite a while but the difference is amazing! I will be able to wear shirts that actually fit me, not ones big and long enough to cover my sagging belly. Dr. Antoniuk removed 12 inches off the front, 6 inches off the back for a total of 10 pounds. It is a few pounds more than even she thought it was going to be. The hospital stay was really great. I ended up getting my own room because they had no other beds available..yay! That's it for now!!!!

That's wonderful! I too am going to have a LBL with Dr Antinouk, but she has advised me to wait until I have children. The wait is killing me. Keep us posted on your results!

Hi Cindy, I am so glad that Dr. Pohl recommended Dr. Antonuik to me! She is very down to earth and really takes her time with me. I am glad it is over and the results are already amazing. I feel like my "journey" is finally over and I am where I am suppose to be with my body.....happy with it for the first time in a long time. The wait right now probably feels like a long one for you, but you have motherhood to look forward to and that is the BEST journey!!!! By the way you are such a beautiful bride. I love your pictures.
