Anyone have problems with BCBS of RI?

Hope everyone is having a good evening! Although I live in Ohio I have BCBS of Rhode Island because my employers headquarters are in Rhode Island. I figured I might try to post here since the chances were better someone has it. Just wondering about your experience with it and if you've been denied. Maybe a few pointers on what they expect paperwork wise? I have the PPO plan. Thanks for any info! Leah

Hi Leah! Does your plan have a specific name such as Healthmate, Blue Chip, HMO Blue, etc? BCBS has a few different RI plans. I have Healthmate (which is a PPO) and know several people who also had it (as well as some that had Blue Chip, which is a HMO) and we all were approved very easily. I was approved in less than 3 days!! Hope this info helps and good luck on your journey!! Megan

Hi Megan, No my plan does not have an additional name such as the ones you listed. Just says BCBS of Rhode Island PPO. I hope my insurance goes as smoothly as yours...three days that's unheard of. By the way, you look great! Thanks for the info! Leah
