I have a surgical date...

Hello all, Some of the RIH patients might remember me, I am Kellie, I am one of the preop teachers from RIH. I have decided to have the Gastric Bypass surgery after 4 years of teaching it to the patients. I just would like to say congrats to all of you who have had your surgery and good luck to all of you who are awaiting your dates. My God Bless and keep everyone one of you.....

Congrats, Kellie. Big decision, isn't it. Just curious, since you know a lot about this, how did you decide on the bypass, instead of the lapband? I am going to NYU for lapband surgery in June. Who are you going to? And, what is your date?? Mine is June 2nd. Take care Maryellen

I have talked it over with my surgeon (and friend) Dr Dean Roye in Provience RI. We decided this was the best for me. I wanted a perment tool. My date is July 5th. Thank you for the good wishes and ill keep you in prayer too kellie

Hi Kellie!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for you!! You just taught my class and I had the surgery on April 26th and I am doing wonderfully thanks to God and Dr. Roye. He is amazing and I know you will be SO happy afterwards! I had a VERY positive experience with everyone at RIH and all the recovery staff too! Good luck and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope to "see" you here in our forum!
