Hello everyone!! I was wondering when the support groups where for any of the surgeons in the state...I haven't been to any (and I'm pretty sure that I missed my own surgeons last week), but I would like to go sometimes...thanks Jenn 5'7" Lap RNY 02/23/05 350/303.5

Kerry, Hi there!! Congratulations on your recent (huge) weight loss and surgery, Dr. Pohl is the best and has saved, my life.. So far, I've figured out that there is a support group on the first Wednesday of the month at the Gerry building of Rhode Island Hospital and it is Dr. Roye's support group (and that he mostly attends them and all are welcome). Dr. Pohl's are on Thursday's. But I'm not sure if it's the last one or the third??? Keep up the good work!! Jenn

Be sure you ask him what happened to my daughter Cheryle's surgery LAB done on 3/23/04. He still hasn't given us a straight answer as to her horrific experience with her surgery. Cheryle did let you know what I am saying is true as she posted on 4/22/05 regarding Dr. Pohls seminars. He perforated her stomach and was vomiting blood the same day as her surgery and the nurse just said it was normal. Normal isn't getting a 105 temp and almost dying and having to have the band removed on an emergency basis with a 105 temp. It wasn't an abcess nor was it a rejection as he first told the family. It was a perforation and those only happen when the stomach is cut. Sincerely, Mary
