Rhode Island message board.........

Hi Rhode Islanders, Our message board su**s. No one every posts on here. We should be helping each other out. We should be supporting each other through the hard times. I know everyone has a life of there own but I look at other message boards and people check on each other and support each other. I know there is a support group in Providence and other areas. Maybe that is where us RIers get there support from. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help anyone even if it is just to listen. Thank You Kerry Soares

HI kerry, I agree totally. I once posted a question on the main board and this women writes to me and says "you know you can post questions on the boards in your own state". Well ya if anybody looked at it. I think i warned you last week no one reads our posts from R.I. You can meet alot of nice people on the main board. cheryl

As somebody *****ads the posts every day (at least once), I understand your frustration. However, there are a lot of us out here. I read the RI board, the main boards and even the August 2004 board (which is when I had my surgery). I agree that it would be nice to see more activity, but don't completely dis' us. As for other support in RI, there are a group of us who get together for dinner, drinks, etc. I always post on this board when we're getting ready to go out, when we're going, all of the details, etc. Additionally, I've met a lot of great people one-on-one for coffee so that we could develop bonds and support each other. In other words, my feeling is that you get out what you put in. Thanks. Jen

thank all for replying. I do go on the main board but i thought it would be good to have people in our area to support each other but if there is a support group at RI i will be there. I wont be there next wednesday because I am having my surgery on tuesday. but thanx for replying i really appreciate it. Kerry

I'd appreciate knowing where the support group is. I'm in Pawtucket and had my surgery at Newton Wellesey Hospital. It's a 40 minute ride so i haven't been to a group since last year and would like to go. If anyone can give me some info in the area I would be greatful.

Good Morning Christine, I just found out about this web sight from my doc office yeasterday ( It was my first consult ) Dr Roye at R.I. Hospital. anyway they gave me a support group that is in Prov , Its at the Gerry House behind Women Infants Hospital. The group meets either first or second wednesday of each month starting at 6:30 its on Borden st.on the paper their is no # for the building or phone # they tell me its very easy to find so we'll see. Hope to see you their . By the way its for both pre-op and post-op patients April 6 may 4 June 1 July 6 Aug 3 Sep 7 Oct 5 Nov 9 ( 2nd Wednesday ) Dec 7 Randy
