After complications with my thyroid levels, and getting a new dosage of Levoxyl...I have gotten my levels down enough to finally have Dr. Roye give me my surgery date!!!! I am soooooooo excited, nervous, anxious and thrilled all at the same time! April 26th is my date and I am looking forward to starting a new life being healthy and happy!

Thank you SO much for the kind words!!! Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts for a speedy recovery. I don't know if anyone else has had feelings of anxiousness, but all these emotions are coming over me and its really overwhelming. I know Dr. Roye is extremely thorough so that puts my mind at ease a lot, but I know it is still a major surgery and thoughts of complications fill my mind also. I am keeping focused on the positive and looking forward to a long, healthy life. I am getting engaged this year also and we're looking for a house, so soooooo many things are happening at once and the time is flying by so quickly! My surgery date is just around the corner, its hard to believe that all my life I've struggled with this weight and fought so hard to lose it and right around the corner is the answer to my prayers.

Hi Megan B, thank you for the kind words! Did you go through feelings of worrying about if God forbid anything happened to you? I have been feeling this and dreaming about it also. Its very scary and I wake up feeling so scared. I started the pre ops in August of last year so I think I have had so much time to dwell on everything and thats why I think I have had these feelings. I know I have tried everything possible to lose the weight and therefor I am excited about the surgery and hopeful for a speedy recovery and a healthy lifetime. I'm going to be 41 in April, before my surgery and I am looking forward to beginning my 40's on a positive note, still though....I do have worries about not making it through the surgery. I have talked with others who felt the same exact feelings and just worked themselves through it with positive thinking. As nervous as I am, I am AS excited so it pretty much evens itself out most times. Thankfully!

Dee, I am so happy for you. I have been meaning to email you to ask how everything was going with trying to get the levels down. I am sorry I didn't get to, I have been so busy lately trying to work and go to school at the same time. Anyway, I wish you the best. It is perfectly normal to have all those feelings. You'll do great! Call me or email me anytime you want to talk. Megan

Hi Meg! Don't apologize for being busy, I am soooooo glad you have that new beautiful body to do all the things you longed to do for so, so long. It works both ways, I haven't contacted you either! Things have been moving so fast and since I got the date for my surgery, its moving 100% faster!!! If you wanted to get together and do another Panara run before my surgery, if your schedule permits I would LOVE to see you again! I'll give you a call next week and even if we can't hook up, I would love to just chat and catch up with you. I'm so happy for you Meg, your finally living your life and being active.
