Small bowl Obstruction

Hello everyone. My WLS has had its ups and downs, lately I have been having severe abdominal pain and it has caused me to visit the ER on several occasions. The last episode got me admitted into the hospital for four days with a tube down my throat. Anyway I was diagnosed with having a small bowl obstruction that has been caused by scar tissue. Has anyone here suffered from the same thing I am describing? If so what have you done to get the problem taken care of? My Dr. says if it continues to be a problem that I may need surgery. AND I DO NOT WANT THAT! Any info would be a help. Thanks and God bless.... Ant.

Dear Anthony, I have seen your picture and read your profile and you are an inspiration. I hope all goes well for you. Is Dr. Roye taking care of you? If anyone can he can. All my best wishes for no more problems. I had surgery last April and knock on wood so far so good. Keep well. Dale

What were your symptoms? I have been having some problems and I am trying to pin point it. I get severe pain in both stomach and intestines, severe bloating (twice the size), I feel like I am going to throw up and sometimes do. This happens with all types of food and drink and then sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Stomach is always hard though. Pain radiates around to my back. Have you had any of these?

Yes I have had all of those symptoms. You should see your Doctor and get it checked. It may be an obstruction in your intestinse like mine. I have some scar tissue that is causing my problem. Good luck... Anthony..
