Long time no speak RI!

I have been posting on and following the August 2003 board and have been neglecting the RI board! I am about 17 months out with a loss of 122 lbs and kept off thus far! I still have about 15-20 lbs. left to lose, but honestly, plastic surgery to remove the skin would make me just fine with my body (something I could never say my entire life). 266 to 144 and I am 5"3, so I should be 138 at the highest. For those of you waiting to have surgery you are headed for some of the best times of your lives! I look back at my "before" pictures and think "I don't remember being that way. I'll never be that again." But it's important to remember what it was like at 266 lbs. because I am the same person only better. People really do look at me differently and I went through a time when that filled me with anger, but I'm able to deal with that now and you will too. Good luck! I will post pics soon.

Congrats!! Nice to see you on the boards. I was just thinking the same thing about my body size today.. if I got rid of some of the sagging skin, I really wouldn't mind not being skinny. If only the stuff were firm!! Keep up the good work! Take care, Michelle
