To all the women here.... I have lost a pretty good amount of weight and have bought new clothing in the past year knowing that I was going to shrink. Yes,foolish thing..lol. My thing is tho that I want to give my clothes to a local person who needs them. I know there is an exchange program but its easier this way. I have clothing I wore 1 time or maybe twice. Nice clothing from the Avenue. You ladies know how expensive this can be. Well I'm down to size 22 in stretch jeans.I am down to a 24-26 and shrinking in a top. I have in my closet blouses that are size 28w,30-32w.I have a 2pc skirt and blouse outfit that is dressy and nice for a occasion. I don't want to give them to just anyone. I want to help someone who needs them. I hate throwing them out or giving them to Salvation army and they turn around and sell them. So email me and see what we can do.

Hi Connie, There is a shop on Airport Road in Warwick which caters to folks who have little or no money. It is called "The Donate Shop" and it is always glad to have plus sized clothing donated, as they try to help out folks who are trying to get on their feet. I have donated a hugve volume of clothing to them. They will gladly give you a reciept for your taxes as well. The thing I like about them is that they sell the clothing, but at very low prices so that folks who need them can afford them. They also take any money that they make (over expenses) and help out soup kitchens and other charitible organizations. Good luck with your continued success! Kristen J.

Kristen, Thanks for the tip! Do you have their phone number? Since August I have given 30+ bags of clothes to Big Sisters, plus another 10-15 to friends and family. I would love to give to those *****ally do need it. I am in the same boat - I have everything from 32's down to 26's to give away. Pretty much all business clothes, suits, etc. I also have two gorgeous beaded gowns and some formal wear. I gave away a lot of my casual stuff, but every week it seems another piece of clothing hits the "just too big" mark. If there is anyone out there who is in need of these items, please let me know. I love to shop and I buy nice stuff, much to my husband's chagrin. I'd love to help you out. Jen

Hi Jen, The phone number is 738-6663. I really like that they are there to truly help people who need it, but who are trying to better themselves. That in itself is enough to sell me on the place rather than going to Salvation Army. The Salvation Army near me sells things for more expensively because of the area it is in, rather than keeping things affordably in line with other S.A. I know what you mean about spending plenty of good money just to have the clothes melt off soon after. I have to say though, having clothing that fits makes me feel (and look) so much better! I didn't realize how much of a difference it makes. Happy donating! Kristen J
