sex drive.....??
Hi everyone...
Now, I've lost weight before in the past and I sort of expected that my sex drive would come back this time around too, but I never expected it to come back this soon! Anyone else share this or is it just me? Sex is different to me now. I'm trying to figure out if it's my age or if it's just because I've lost some weight! I almost feel like I'm catching up for lost time. I use to feel so awful about my body before and wouldn't let my boyfriend touch me. Over all, I just feel better. My mood is better, my posture is better, and I'm just...happier! Before, I felt "numb". Mostly, emotionally but physically as well. I mean, the majority of us on this forum are women, right? Part of being a woman ( I'm assuming) means that we sometimes don't enjoy sex as much or we can't relax enough or concentrate enough to enjoy sex. I almost feel selfish now because I want to enjoy it now! Of course, this means more work for my boyfriend ( ha ha ha ) but he's much happier too!
Just wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing as me.... I know it's a touchy subject but I certainly don't have a problem talking about sex. It's a part of our health, right?
Thanks for listening

Hey Megan,
So we know what your New Year's resolution will be....
I actually found the same thing for a while, but then it completely dropped off again. I honestly find it has a lot to do with when I take my vitamins, getting enough water and just overall feeling good.
I'm lighter now than when I met my husband 18 years ago and he'll all sorts of turned on by that. Not that he didn't love me and we didn't have a great sex life before, but now he's got all sorts of things on his mind .
I find some days I feel great about myself and other days I look and see a giant bowl of jiggling jello. Despite my workouts, everything is sagging- and I mean EVERYTHING. I see myself and can't possibly imagine feeling sexy.
Anyway, I am glad for you (and your boyfriend, too!) Hopefully you won't see a decrease in enthusiasm and will be able to enjoy this new found passion.
Here's to starting of 2005 with a bang!
Jen
Thanks for responding Jen...
I know all about the up's and downs that you're having. I get them too. I just noticed that the up's are better than they use to be, ya know? I'm 7 weeks post-op and I'm actually in a slump right now with weight loss but I still feel pretty good. I can't wait for the warm weather now!
Take care
