Surgeons names in RI

Hi to all!, I am actually from CT and had my surgery alittle over a week ago. My sister lives in RI and is beginning to do some research. First step, good referrals of surgeons names. Can anyone give me some names to pass onto her that you have used and have had greate experiences? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Carrie from CT

You can try Dr. David Harrington (did mine on Nov. 1), and Dr. Dean Roye. They partner out of RI Hospital.

I would definatly recomend either Dr. Dean Roye or his partner Dr. Harrington. I personally used Dr. Roye, he is a fabulous doctor with a stellar reputation. His pre-op testing is very thorough and he really covers all the bases. His bedside manner is fantastic. He did the surgery on my father, a close family friend, and myself. His secretary may not come off as the nicest woman but it is worth dealing with her to have him as your surgeon. I would encourage her to come to one of our support group meetings. They are the first Wednsday of every month at RIH. With love, Em

Hi Emily. Could you please provide me with specifics regarding the meeting time, location, etc. of the RIH support group meetings? I had my surgery done in Boston and I'm looking for some local support. I'm 5 months out and could really use some helpful information. Thanks much. Bonnie

The RIH meeting is on the first Wednesday of the month in the Gerry Building. I think the time is 6:30pm, but not positive. If no one else replies, you can always call the hospital or the doc's office and ask.
