My Date's Been Moved Up!

Just got the call from Dr. Harrington's office. They had a cancellation on November 1, so I'm moving up 4 weeks! Woo hoo! Any advice on the last 2 weeks to blast-off? Thanks! Jackie

Hi jackie, I don't have much advice for you but I can certainly congratulate you and wish you all of the luck I can possibly think of for your big day! I can also tell you that I'm going in for surgery on Nov. 2nd so we have something in common! I've started my protein drinks and I'm taking lot's of vitamins to get my immune system in gear for surgery. I'm also cleaning out all of the food in my house that may be "tempting". I think the most important thing to do right now is to take care of your body and your mind. It's vital that you think possitively and have lot's of support around you. I have been telling everyone around me that I don't have room in my life for negative thoughts. It seems to be working for me! I wish you luck, Jackie. I will be praying for you on your big day! Megan, Quite a coincidence! Where are you having your surgery and who is your doctor? Were you told to start on the protein shakes in advance? I don't recall being told to do that. I've started the vitamins, also. That's taken a little getting used to, since I've never taken them on a daily basis before. I'll be spending the next 12 days getting my house in order, throwing out the junk food, arranging my wardrobe (I'm a pack-rat and have so many beautiful clothes that I can WAIT to wear again!), and whatever else needs to be done before D-Day. I'll do my praying for you in advance, in case I'm not completely "with it" on your big day. Good luck to you! Jackie

Hey Jackie! It's Jackie Hebert! So what do you know -- coincidence or what? My date is this Friday the 29th so it's possible we will finally meet one another face to face. I'm looking forward to it. I will ask about you on Monday. I also have been cleaning out the foods, got rid of all my summer clothes and have left the bare minimum for the winter. I've been getting lots of support from people at work, phone calls, emails, people are really rising to the occasion.
