Hi all! Can anyone tell me how long this proceeder is? I wanted to get my X-ray also done while I was in the same building, but I have to be at work 11:00. My Ultrasound/Gallbladder appointment is at 8:00 AM. Thank you!

Hi there! Is that just the ultrasound of the gallbladder or is it the Hida Scan? The ultrasound didn't take me long at all, maybe 20 minutes and the chest x-ray was done in about 5 minutes. I did them together because mine came scheduled that way and they were done at the same place, first floor of 2 Dudley St. (I think that is the MOC building). All in all I actually waited longer to be called into the back to do the 2 tests than I did the tests themselves. I think if your ultrasound is at 8:00am you have more than enough time to do both of them. If it is the Hida Scan then that takes several hours, but I had that done at the APC building. Than again that was last year at this time so who knows what has changed since then. Good luck! Megan

Hi Megan, Thank you for the reply and information! I have had the Hida scan already...thank God for Scott and Vinnie's company and the music they provided. It was a long 4 hours but I got through it! This is the Ultrasound/Gallbladder so, what youve said is it should be less then an hour or so. Great! Thanks again!

Hope all goes smooth and quick for you tomorrow! How far along in the testing are you? I have heard from a friend who is seeing Dr. Roye and in the testing process right now that he is requiring more than he did when I was doing my testing for him last year. Hopefully it will all go quickly for you! I feel like we're neighbors, lol. I live in Pascoag about 10 minutes from Route 44 so I do all my shopping in Smithfield. Have you lived there long? Anyway, if I can be of any other help to you feel free to email me anytime. Megan

Hi Megan, Thank you for all your advice and well wishes! Dr. Roye is very thorough and I don't mind at all all the testing. I have a few more important tests left such as the psych test and the sleep testing also. My last test is October 12 which is the sleep test. I sleep like a log so I don't think I have any sleeping problems per say. Theyve actually moved the sleep study testing out of the hospital into a new place, and I've heard its much more comfortable. I've lived in Smithfield all my life, but its getting much too crowded here lately and my fiance' and I are looking for property to build deeper North. I LIVE at Smithfield Commons! LOL Is that where you go shopping? Perhaps we can meet sometime at Panara or Barnes and Noble for flavored iced tea! YUMMY!

October 12th will be here before you know it! I like that Dr. Roye is very thorough too, the results of my hida scan showed I already had gallstones so he took my gallbladder out too so I don't have to worry about that down the road. Smithfield has definitely grown a lot in the last 10 years. I'm still in the sticks so going to Smithfield is the "big city" lol. I do shop at Smithfield Commons, I love that Target and the Bath and Body Works. I also do my grocery shopping at the Stop and Shop and hit Apple Valley Mall for movies and such. For me it is nice because I have quiet where I live and only a 20 minute drive to stuff, I can see how living there may not be as great. But we definitely should get together up there for iced tea, I have been dying to go into Panara but I haven't yet. I'm in Greenville every Sunday so hopefully we can work something out. My email is [email protected]. Megan
