My Testing Is Complete!!!

I am so very psyched!!! This morning I had 27 vials of blood taken (ooh dee!) at 2 Dudley & I am now done with all of my pre-op GBS testing!!! I of course went right upstairs to Suite 470 & made an appointment in person for my consult (&, I hope, surgery date) with Dr. Roye!!! I have to say that I am extremely pleased to have completed all the testing in so short a time (I started with the Gall Bladder tests on July 26th & finished with the blood work today, August 20th). Outside of the dreadful mattresses at the Sleep Study Lab, my experiences with every technician, physician, & other medical staff were so very positive. I appreciated their expertise, understanding, & support during this so-often-stressinducing time. Now I am just counting the days until Sept. 10th, when I meet with the man himself. Dr. Roye, I am on my way!!! Maureen M.

Wow, thats fast. I am so glad your all done. I am glad you had a great experience with everyone. I was pretty impressed with the people Dr. Phol sent me to. It was nice talking to people who encouraged me instead of trying to scare me out of it. Which wouldn't happen cause I am totally ready. Congrats..... Shannon

Maureen, You'll like Dr. Roye. He's a "straight shooter". He didn't do my surgery but has been taking care of me post-surgically ( as I changed docs.) He is honest, kind, & patient. Good luck to you...Marianne

Hey Maureen, CONGRATS! Its so nice to have someone who is at the same point as me! I finished my last test on the 19th and have my meeting with Dr. Roye on Sept 3rd. Maybe we will see eachother in the hospital after our surgeries! Please keep in touch! With love, Em

Maureen, You really got through the testing quickly! I started my testing on 6/4, and had the bloodwork done on 8/2. I met with Dr. Harrington yesterday, and my surgical date is 11/29. Good luck to you, and let us know when you get your date! Jackie
