New here

Hey everyone- I'm new here to this board. I have been researching WLS for over a year, and it looks like it may actually be happening soon. I am going to Dr. Pohl's seminar at Roger Williams tomorrow night. Hopefully not too long after that I can schedule a consultation. I hear they are scheduling for December and January right now. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. =) Lauren

Welcome Lauren I think you'll learn tons from the seminar tomorrow. Even if they are scheduling for Dec/Jan,and you decide to follow through, get all your pre op testing done, then call and check for a cancellation. You'll be surprised how fast time flies!!! Wow, that is fast. When I called last October I didn't get in to see him until June. It was suppose to be at the end of may but that pesky holiday got in the way. I hope you like what you hear. There is also a support meeting on the following Thrusday. It would be great if you could make it. It's in the same place as his meeting.... Shannon

Welcome Lauren. I had my GBS in April, but just found this board a few days ago. Up til then I had been getting all my info from the GBS Family group on yahoo.com. Another great source of support and information. I like being in touch with other local people here though.
