For those of you who are post op: What vitamins are a must to take? I was going to ask Dr. Phol when I see him on the 2nd but I was just wondering. If I can get them now that would be helpful. Thanks Shannon

Hi Shannon, You will need to take 3 viactiv(calcium chews) a day. The best place that I have found to purchase these are at BJ's...much cheaper and a bigger bottle. He will also give you a perscription for some kind of antacid. My insurance didn't cover it so I take over the counter prilosec. This is to prevent ulcers. You will also need to take 2 children's chewable vitamins with iron per day. I take Flinstones. Dr. Pohl never mentioned B-12 vitamins but I do take 2 of those a week. You can find them at GNC...they dissolve under your tongue. I think that is it! Good luck with your upcoming surgery! Lisa
