Woonsocket, RI Wow!!! I attended an informational seminar on Thursday at Roger Wheeler, and this sure helps to explain why Dr. Pohl seemed so negative about the band. The concensus is that 100 bands is the magic number for optimum sucess in banding. Since he has only done 35 bands, I guess he is still learning...think I'll wait awhile until he has the procedure down or find a more experienced surgeon for banding. My prayers are with your daughter...the extemes we go to in order to take control of the obesity monster!

What's its about, it's about you and your agenda. Maybe you need to refresh yourself about the rules of the board, if were lucky enough maybe someone from obesity help.com will refresh them for you. Who is the concensus .. PETA, the local garden club? Where are the facts. Its about someone who attended a seminar at Roger Wheeler (which doesn't exist) it's Roger WILLIAMS. Never once was Dr Pohl negative about the band. And your 40 band findings are wrong. As a matter of fact youve posted that on this very website you found that Dr Pohl has only done 40 bands in his statistics. Interesting as his clinical data is current up to 2002, before he was even doing lap bands!!!!!!!!! Your statistics are wrong. Before you post make sure your facts are legitmate if your intent is to 'bring out the facts and make sure people know what their getting into having band surgery'. Again refer to my response about slander and libel. Besides, seeing your from Anywhere VT, you do an awful lot of posting on the Rhode Island board. As a matter of fact I went to the VT board and oddly enough there are no posts from you against the lap band, and none on the Massachusetts board, etc etc. Better yet .. anyone questioning where your agenda is can view your older posts on the RI board, the lap band board, and the main board. When you have the initials MD after your name or you work for Inamed company, let us know about the facts Mary or Cheryle whomever you may be.

I did not write the post regarding the person from Woonsocket, I copied and pasted it. It was a statement from another person. Innamed does have all the facts regarding this botched up surgery. No I do not have a MD after my name but all you have to do is watch a thirty minute video, as many surgerons do, to learn how to put in a AGB. I do know how to spell Roger Williams Medical Center . The misspelling was not mine.

Copy and paste your own stuff then. Furthermore my surgery wasn't botched up, nor was David's, or the multiple other people who have been banded and according to all of your posts just your daughter's was. Find the website or show me the exact literature where it says a physican watches a thrity minute tape and then does surgery. Better yet call the Rhode Island Department of health and tell me what they tell you in regards to surgeons performing this surgery. Show them your posts and see what they tell you about defamation of a licensed professional. Again, post the facts, not the copy and pastes from someone who hasn't had lap band surgery or pursued it for that matter or your your own ramblings. Sigh, Mary if you'd just listen to my posts before you land up in ho****er. I hope the thrill of it all tickles your fancy, it's certainly very ummm entertaining.

Oh Stephanie, I AM NOT PUTTING DOWN DR. POHL OR RWGH. I AM SIMPLY TELLING THE STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER. I NEVER SAID DR. POHL WAS NOT A GOOD SURGEON. I AM LETTING PEOPLE KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN WITH THIS SURGERY. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT DR. POHL . I HAVE ONLY STATED THE FACTS OF WHAT HAPPENED. NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG. YOU ONLY WANT TO HEAR THE GOOD SIDE WHICH I UNDERSTAND. I DO KNOW FOR A FACT THAT A LOT OF SURGEONS DO WATCH A VIDEO TO LEARN TECHNIQUES OF ALL KINDS OF SURGERY. YES I WILL LISTEN TO YOU AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS ANYWAY. I HAVE DONE ALL THE RESEARCH I COULD POSSIBLY DO FOR MY DAUGHTER.
