I HAVE A SURGERY DATE!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!
I am sooooo excited. I saw Dr. Pohl today and I did loose 2 pounds not gain like I thought I had. I still have to loose the 10-12 pounds before surgery. He put me on a diet of liquid shakes or protien bars and one meal per day until I show up for my surgery. The big day is, drum roll please, FRIDAY JUNE 18, 2004. OH MY GOD!! I can't believe it's finally here.
I made the decision to have WLS July 2003. However, when I called for an appt. I couldn't get one until March 2004. I was so disappointed but I wasn't going to give up. I needed to get my health back and start living again. While I waited, I started attending the support groups and reading everything I could find about the available surgeries. Anyway I made it and I'm too excited to be nervous. My vacation starts the 8th and home by the 15th. Then JUST 2 more days before the big event. No time to get nervous. I will try to keep my profile updated anyway. I really appreciate all the support I get from everyone on this site. If anyone has a direct line to the Man upstairs (you know who I mean LOL) could you please ask him to keep his eye on me OK??? Thanks, Susan
I am so happy for you. I read your profile and your story and you have been through quite a bit, this is a great thing for you. We'll be here post op too, have fun in Vegas..it looks like Lady Luck is already on your side !!!!

Congratulations! I know how you feel - almost. I started the process back in June of 2003 and it's been a long year! I am going at 9:00 tonight for the sleep study and hopefully won't be far behind you for a surgery date.
Enjoy Vegas and know that we'll all be thinking of you on the 18th!
