I haven't posted since October. I have been kind of scared to jinx myself if I talk about the surgery. I have done all my testing, had a UPPP and am now waiting till I see Dr Phol on Monday the 7th. I have Blue Chip Rite care. I have GERD, sleep apnea and my bmi is over 50. I am praying my insurance covers me for the surgery. Even though I am very over weight my blood pressure has never been high. I have had been through a lot during this past year and I am so ready to be on the "loosing side". I have a cpap machine at home that I am trying to get use to. It is so hard to breath with that thing over my nose. Makes me feel like nothing is coming out but when I breathe through my mouth I can feel all that air. Has anyone or does anyone know of anyone whose had Blue Chip RITE care and were approved???? Once I talk to Dr. Phol and see where I stand I am going to be more active on this site. I just have this thing with jinxing myself. I didn't want to get people all excited for me and then have to break the news that I wasn't going to be approved. I just told most of my family last month. No one has said anything bad except my grandfather. Then again that is just him. talk to you all soon.... Shannon

I wouldn't worry about insurance coverage, unless Dr Pohl says you are not fit for surgery. I have Healthmate. Blue Chip has a policy for coverage of WLS. Best of luck and keep us posted, Stephanie
