I NEED AN ANGEL...
What kind of surgery are you having? Your screen name caught my eye b/c I had surgery on August 26th and my wedding is in two weeks. I have lost 103 lbs. and my dress is a beautiful, strapless size 13! I always promised myself I wouldn't be a fat bride. This surgery is the best decision I've ever made. I look forward to looking beautiful on my wedding day. You will too.
hi cindy-
i am having a lap rny on june 24th...and though i am doing this for my health, when i start to get a case of the " freak outs" i think about what i *could* look like on my wedding day (09/24/05). a size 13....I WISH!!! actually you and i are a lot alike...BMI wise and all...i fall into the "lightweight" club as well....do you mind if if i ask out some ?'s...how was the pain after surgery? recovery? food? can ya tell i need someone to bounce things off of? lol any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!?!?!?!
I love when people ask me how my surgery and recovery went because I am happy to say, I was a "posterchild" for surgery. I had no comorbidities and I was pretty healthy besides the weight. In the hospital for three days with minimal pain. Felt like I had really worked out my abs and I couldn't sleep on my stomach. That was the worst. But the pills helped. The most pain I had was one night when I had gas that was so painful, but the nurse gave me something to knock me out. I was up and about the next week, but I took advantage of TDI and took 5 weeks out of work. So, it was a little vacation. I have to say though, that the first 6 weeks is awful because you can't eat a lot of things and that makes you grumpy and irritable, just ask my fiance. After you get over that hump, it's much better. You won't believe the scale. I still look at the scale and can't believe I am 163 as of today. I never thought I would see that. And I'm still overweight, but it's such a change from being 266. People don't consider me the "big girl" anymore. That's priceless. I'll post before and after pics after the wedding.
