Slow weight loss

I had my 6 month visit with my doctor today. My pre-op wt was 282 & I've lost 62 lbs and I am dissapointed that I haven't lost more. My fear is that now that the 6 month "honeymoon" is over, that I won't lose much more. Has anyone had a similar weight loss pattern? It would be encouraging to know that it's not that unusual and that others have lost slowly as well. Thanks

It's a fear I had too Elaine. I had lost 80 lbs. at my six month appointment and told the doctor that I was scared that it was over. He told me that the only difference now is that what I do or don't do will affect my loss indefinately now. I just keep doing what I've always done and the weight is still coming off. I've lost 14 lbs. since and I lose every week. Just keep doing what you've done for six months and it will keep coming off.

Thanks for your reply. I have been a slow loser since the surgery but I am really slow right now..It's a plateau. So I have to work harder, excercise more etc, right? I just have a fear that this is it, that I just won't lose much more. But Dr. Roye assured me that if I do what I am supposed to, it will be OK. I'm very happy I had the surgery though.....isn't it great?
