Hi everyone. I am floored. I got on the scale today and it said that I gained two pounds! I am 5 months and a week out. This has never happened to me before. Do some of you "gain" weight during your time of the month? I can't think of anything other than that. I mean, I didn't eat that well this week and had really bad cravings. Ate things like chicken wings, chocolate, and tortilla chips for SuperBowl. But even before surgery I would eat four times that and still not gain 2 POUNDS! Somebody tell me this is normal.

All I can think of is that your not eating healthy and sticking to the plan so it is now catching up to you. Go back to basics, like in the first weeks and up your protein and exercise. That should help. Joanne T-2 days and counting

It is prefectly normal. I am actually surprised it never happened to you before. Go to any wls message board and people are always talking about it, especially around that time of the month. You still retain water. For me presonally at 3 months out, the scale goes up and down a few pounds each day or so that is why I stopped weighing every day and only do it weekly. Your weight can also be influenced by what your wearing, what time of day your weighing and so on. The nurse at my work was showing us how crazy digital scales are the other day, she took the scale and weighed herself and then moved the scale to the middle of the room and it was 2 lbs more. So don't beat yourself up. You had a bad week and you'll get back on track. Megan
