I just wanted to say I feel awful for his family and for the Dr. as well. But like with every surgery there are risks. I had my gall bladder removed 11 years ago, and they used the lap method, and they also explained to me that there is a chance at death.. You see the media only wants to tell the public the bad side to this not the good. They do not want to show the thousands and thousands of people for whom have benifited from this procedure. Just look at the many on this web site. Look at some of the famous, well Carnie Wilson sorta ****** me off because she has forgotten where she came from.. I think she did it for vanity not her health. But anyway, lets all take a moment to remember those lost and remember those helped. Well thats my 2 cents.,.. Emily Life is to short for B.S.

I feel bad to because death isn't easy no matter how it happens. There are risks and everyone sits at these meetings with the Doctor and shake their heads that they know what he is saying. They understand everything and then all the sudden something bad happens and they act as if it was something they didn't know. I know that when I have this surgery it could kill me. However, I also know that if I don't have the surgery I will probably die. In my opinion the risks of living with this weight outweigh the risks of the surgery. Shannon
