OK.. Maybe... JUST maybe someone here could PLEASE me. My name is Sharon and I live in Newport RI. I've been trying to get hold of Dr. Pohl and I'm getting no where. I've been calling his office for over 3 weeks now and all I get is a recording saying the office is closed and then I try to Email Dr. Pohl and it gets returned. Go figure I've never heard of a doctor closing his office and still see patients. Could someone in RI and knows this doctor PLEASE email me he curant email address and phone # so I can call Dr. Pohl. He's the only doctor in RI that does the Lap Band and he's the one I need. I'm just about to break into tears. This may be my only chance of getting my life back. It's getting harder and harder everyday to do for myself. I can hardly walk anymore. Doing for myself is a job all by itself. I'm tired almost all the time and there's days I don't want to get up.. I mean I'll get up and get my grand daughter off to school but after she leaves and gets on the bus... sometimes I'm back in bed and will stay there almost all day. If you could please either post the information I so muchly need or email me at [email protected] I would be so greatful. I hope and PRAY that someone out there can help me PLEASE.. Thank you for your time. Sharon Peckham [email protected]

Sharon....the number is 521-6310. Your best bet to call is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. he only see's patients on Monday and Thursday. The rest of the time I think is for surgeries. They will tell you that you need to go to his seminar (free) at Roger Williams Hospital before making an appointment. He is very good at what he does. I am awaiting my consult with him on 11/20. After the consult, it takes about a month until the surgery. Both Dr. Pohl and Dr. Roye have very long waiting lists. My original appointment was for may 10, 2004. I was lucky enough to get in on a cancellation in Nov. The age limit for patients is 59 I think, maybe 60. The seminar is well worth going to. Good luck and remember that even though it looks like it is a long time to wait for the surgery, it is well worth it. Joanne
