approval

I called United Health again today & was told what I was told all along, they have no record of ever getting anything from the doctors office. I called Janette @ Dr. Pohl's office & left a message. She called me back in about 1/2 half hour & told me she got the authorization in on Monday but wanted to make the appointment for my pre-admission test so she wouldn't have to call twice. Finally !!!!!!!!! I have been waiting since May 12th for this. Now & can definately start the countdown to September 9th (surgery date). I feel sooo much better now.

Judy, I am going to be calling Dr Pohl's office on monday to schedule an appt if I can.. How long did it take yo uto get a appt to get into one of his info sessions? God Bless Angela

Judy, Congratulations on the approval! I waited three months and heard the same excuse from United Health that they gave you. (they never got a request for this surgery from the dr.'s office) I eventually switched to BC/BS and I got my approval in 6 days. My preop testing should be done in a little over a week and I expect to have my surgery in approximately a month. Good Luck on your journey.................
