Hi margie, Welcome to the site. I am having my first appointment with dr. Pohl on June 2nd and am very nervous. I have been coming to this site for a while now and I have gotten alot of tips and I am so impressed with people that have had surgery and try to do their best each day to lose and maintain weight loss. I know many people have told me to JUST go to Weigh****chers, do Slimfast etc,etc, etc. I have done all of those twice and now I am at the end of my rope. Surgery is not an easy decision and it doesn't mean our lives will be a piece of cake(no pun intended). The surgery is a lifelong committment, the only plus that most of us obese people have is that we are used to committment. I am sure almost everyone who has or will have this operation has committed themselves time and time again to dieting and losing weight only to gain back all and plus some more weight. This surgery I believe will help us all to stay with the committment and not only look better but will be healthier and will live a longer better life. Thanks for listening Sharon
