I have posted several times on the RI board and never got a response or an answer, so I just stopped posting and went over to the main board.  I am just starting this whole process and have some very specific questions regarding how things go in RI.

Congrats on your weight loss!  I hope to be there soon!

So have you had your surgery yet? Do you go to the monthly lap band support group at Miriam?
I will be there next week, I try not to miss the first Tuesday support group.

No. I have not had surgery yet. To make a long story short, hubby got laid off, lostour health insurance, I am now in the process of paying for insurance myself. Should be approved June 1. I plan on having Dr. Roye as my surgeon and having VSG. I will be at the RIH support group meeting this Wed. Dr Royes's support group meeting is there.  What surgery did you have?

I had band surgery on July 25 2012.
I am doing really well and thank god for it everyday!

Awesome  Rhody!  That gives me hope.  I am sorry to hear you are going through a rough time right now.  Hang in!

I just got my surgery date yesterday at Dr. Roye's and it looks like I will be going in for the gastric bypass on May 17th!!! This has been a two year process for me and I am so happy.

Congrats! Shan.  I hope all goes well for you!  Let us know how you do!
