Today marks.....

Today marks two things:

1.) Exactly 1 week (7 days****il my pre-op liquid diet & my pre-op tests @ Roger Williams Hospital.

2.) Exactly 3 weeks until my RNY surgery with Dr. Pohl @ Roger Williams Hospital.



IS THIS REAL??? It seems so close...yet so far away!

wow i bet in the beginning it felt like it would never get here.  It will be here before you know it.

I have one more nut appt and my psyche eval than they send for approval.  hopefully the beginning to middle sept i will know more.

I am so glad I did my band, I am sure you will love your RNY just as much, when the weight just starts
falling off!

Take a deep breath it will be here before u know it.. I did and let me tell u it didnt hit me till i was rolling down the hall to the OR room ...i think the happy drug guy knew it cause by the time i got to the or i was completely relaxed..lol..i think he slipped me a mickey lol...but anyways u will do fine i did i am almost 2 weeks out ...im walking and talking fine..doing a little better everyday..

I can honestly tell u....u cant eat like or drink like u use too after this surgery..i am having a hard time but im forceing myself too..and its going pretty good so far...

So my prayers are with ur as u start ur journey..see ya on the loser bench...btw when surgery is done keep saying to urself this too shall pass it does help ..lol...

MUCH APPRECIATED!!

I am 7 weeks out today and Dr. Pohl worked his magic on me.  Between my 5 week preop and my 7 weeks post op i have dropped 86 pounds and feel like a new man.  I can eat anything.  Nothing makes the pouch cranky.  Steak, Chicken, what ever...  I am at 800 calories a day and not starving.  getting 120 Grams of Protein with some shake help and as little carbs as possible.  I have a ton more energy and feel wonderful...  I know I am a poster child for how this is supposed to go, but I have plenty of space on the poster for another poster child.  I hope it all goes as smooth for you as it did for me

Congrats sounds like you are doing great.  Its all we can hope for to have a easy recovery from surgery.
