Hi Friends!!

Mrs RHody here... I am very happy with my progress! I have lost 112 lbs, 5 from my orginal goal and 15 from my new one. I am going to see were things go, but I would be happy to be where I am had I not had the surgery. However, I know that you regain about 10% of the loss once your body stabilizes. So, I will see how far my body takes me.
It bothers me and makes me uncomfortable when I bump into people that I haven't see in awhile. It is awkward and uncomfortable for them as they try to absorb my transformation with a state of shock on their faces.. WHat I want to say to them is that I am still the same person!!!! SO dont treat me any differently, please.. I beg you!

ANyone feel the same??? I mean it is all good for sure, but I know that I am unrecognizable to many.

I definitely know what you mean!!  I've had people ask me if I'm sick.  What I want to say is no, it's taken me 18 months to get to this point.

Congrats!  You have done awesome.  I do know what you mean.  I think what is most bothersome to me is that most people will then ask, "How did you do it?"  That is very awkward for me.  It just happened again last night in the middle of BJ's.  I don't feel like I want to talk about my surgery with someone I haven't seen in 2 years in the middle of BJ's.  I just responded, "It's all about the calories and the exercise."  It's not a lie, but it leaves me feeling like I am not being honest.

congrats on your weightloss....and you are absolutely right...you are still the same person inside, but you have to give them time to absorb the transformation..i still have issues with my own family not recognizing me...lol

i have no problem telling anyone who asks how i did it... i blurt it out..gastric bypass..and it saved my life...and when i tell them about it, i always say..this is based on my own experience. everyone is different.

i bet you look amazing, as well as mr rhody i'm sure...

as far as the 10% regain, i am nervous!!!!!! i nearly freaked out with a 3 pound weight gain due to pms..maybe i should set a new goal for myself???  arrgghhh!!!

well, continue the great efforts...it has paid off!
take good care
